The Youth and Philanthropy Initiative (YPI) is an active citizenship programme that raises awareness amongst young people about philanthropy and their local community. Each participating school, each year is responsible for directing a £3000 YPI grant to a local charity through a unique programme of teamwork, research and competition. YPI is all about creativity and passion, leaving the four walls of the classroom behind, and supporting the issues young people care most about.

The event will take place on Tuesday 11th December at the Cairndale Hotel in Dumfries, between 12:45pm and 2:30pm (lunch provided), and will allow the YPI to bring together their valued existing and prospective school and charity partners in Dumfries and Galloway for an important engagement and shared learning session. For those of you who may not be familiar with the YPI Scotland programme, more information can be found on their website here.
