Oriel Davies Open showcases work by emerging and established artists from across the UK and beyond. It invites professional artists and those studying art to submit entries of recent work in order to be considered for an exhibition.  This programme is provided by the Oriel Davies Gallery. Oriel Davies operates as a registered charity and is a visual arts venue and a key gallery of Wales. The organisation is revenue funded by the Arts Council of Wales and Powys County Council.

Oriel Davies Open has a reputation for showcasing work by some of the most notable emerging and established artists from across the UK and beyond. The programme is inviting professional artists and those studying art to submit entries of recent work in order to be considered for an exhibition taking place 23 June – 5 September 2018. The programme has no theme or geographical restrictions.

Prizes:

  • Prize-winner: £1,000 + solo show in 2019
  • Student Prize-winner: £500
  • People’s Choice Prize-winner £250

Awards are made to the most popular work as voted by visitors during the exhibition.

There is a non-refundable entry fee of £25 for up to 4 works entered (£20 concessions for students).

This is a biennial programme.  The 2018 round opened on 20 November 2017 and closes at 5pm on Monday 12 February 2018.
