AAT Foundation Certificate in Accounting
The fee for this course is £200 per person (includes AAT student membership and all registration and assessment fees). You may be eligible for ITA funding for this course.
This course teaches you the basic accounting principles and techniques and includes the following units:
- Bookkeeping Transactions
- Bookkeeping Controls
- Elements of Costings
- Using Accounting Software
- Work Effectively in Finance
AAT Foundation Certificate in Accounting is suited for:
- People who are new to accounting and finance
- Unqualified accounting staff who want to enhance their foundation knowledge and skills
- Employers looking to up skill their staff
- People looking to change their careers.
The purpose of the qualification is to ensure students are well prepared to progress into a career in business, finance or professional accountancy, or into further education
Tuesday evenings between 6pm – 9pm for 1 year, starting 8 January 2019, Dumfries Campus only.
AAT does not set any entry criteria for the study of the AAT Foundation certificate but it recommends that potential students begin their study with a good standard of English and maths.
AAT recommends that students use AAT Skillcheck via aatskillcheck.org to ensure that they are ready to start on this course.
